Welcome to Children's House Montessori, a garden of child culture, where our focus is to develop and nurture a child's intrinsic love of learning, discovery, independence and sense of community. We view each child like a little seed; full of potential and waiting for the proper nourishment that our well-prepared environment provides. Our stimulating, organized classrooms, complete with a wide variety of beautiful hands-on Montessori materials, invite each child to explore their true interests, and become the person they are meant to be.
The Mission of Children's House Montessori is to nurture the spirit and curiosity of each child. While staying true to the pedagogy of Maria Montessori, we seek to promote independence, self confidence and respect for others in a peaceful environment.
At Children's House Montessori, we adhere to the philosophy set forth by Maria Montessori, supported by the current best practices of the American Montessori Society (AMS), Association Montessori International (AMI) and our local teacher training center New England Montessori Teacher Education Center (NEMTEC). We are members of Montessori Schools of Massachusetts. All lead teachers are AMS certified and EEC qualified. We support and encourage our teachers to continue their education and allow personal time to do so.

The Children's House Montessori School is a premier independent preschool in West Roxbury providing a comprehensive Montessori preschool education to the children of West Roxbury, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, West Newton, Newton, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, and surrounding towns. Offering a family-friendly variety of options (full-day preschool and half-day preschool, full day kindergarten, extended day including early drop-off and late pick-up for all pre-school students), Children's House serves a diverse student body drawn from towns in the Boston area.
